Michael McGill

Michael is a lover of all things sports!

Growing up as a youngster in Sydney he was a huge skateboard fan. Life was all about the Bones Brigade, Powell Peralta and bleeding knees.

As he entered high school he found the Sport of Kings. Everyone had Elle Macpherson on their study folders. Not Michael, he had his two favourites Super Impose and Vo Rogue. Mick Dittman and Shane Dye were backed most weekends with his $10 pocket money.

After leaving school he entered the workforce and adult life. NRL then became a major factor. Michael Hancock from the Brisbane Broncos became a favourite along with Steve Renouf.

After making his way up the sales representative ladder he found Golf. This became a life long obsession that has been going for close on 20 years now. Davis Love III was an early golfing idol and along the way players like Jose Maria Olazabal, Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson and Matt Kuchar have joined the fold.

In 2006 he moved to Spain with his wife to start a new adventure. For three years they owned an Aussie themed bar on the Mediterranean coast. That is when the love affair started with European football. As a life long Liverpool fan he enjoyed the game however the Spanish lifestyle and dedication to the game drew him into the Malaga FC fold.

Now back in Australia he lives on the Central Coast with his wife and two young boys. For the last 12 months he has been the writer for the New South Wales Surge Legends Football League team. The ladies kick off in December 2013 in what is sure to be a huge introduction for the sport into the Australian sporting domain.

Michael also writes PGA Tour previews each week which can be seen on several different web sites in Australia, UK and USA.
